What Is the CM Punjab Student E-Bike Scheme 2026?

It is a Punjab Government programme that provides electric bikes to students on easy, interest-free instalments. The government pays a large part of the bike’s price as a subsidy, so the student pays much less than the market price.

The scheme is designed for students who travel every day to colleges and universities. An electric bike removes the daily fuel cost and suits short city routes, which is how most students travel.

1. Open the official portal. Go to bikes.punjab.gov.pk. Never enter your CNIC or personal details on any other website.
2. Create your account. Register with your CNIC number and an active mobile number in your own name.
3. Verify with the SMS code. An OTP is sent to your mobile to confirm your identity before you continue.
4. Fill in your details. Enter your institution name, enrolment number, district and city carefully.
5. Upload your documents. Sharp, readable scans only — blurry uploads were the top reason for rejection.
6. Wait for verification. The Bank of Punjab checks your enrolment, domicile and your guarantor’s credit history.
7. Enter the balloting. Verified applications go into the PITB computerised draw, held against fixed quotas.
8. Collect your bike. Selected students sign the financing agreement and collect the bike from an authorised dealer.

Price and Instalment Plan

The student pays only Rs 109,000 out of the total Rs 199,000 price. The government pays the Rs 90,000 subsidy directly, so it never becomes part of the student’s loan.

There is no down payment and no interest at all. The instalment of Rs 3,028 stays the same every month for the full 36 months.

The Punjab Government also bears the insurance cost, the loan markup and the registration charges. The student does not pay any of these separately.

Balloting and Result Check

Winners are selected through e-balloting conducted by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The draw is fully computerised and runs against fixed quotas, which keeps the process fair and transparent.

Bike Specifications

The scheme bikes carry a 72V 30Ah LFP battery. LFP batteries are known for a long service life and stable, safe performance for daily use.

The 1,000W motor gives enough power for normal city travel, including small slopes and everyday loads within the allowed limit.
